InsuranceSome insurance plans do cover elective abortions, but many do not. Please contact your insurance company (using the "Benefits" or "Customer Service" phone number listed on your insurance card) to find out whether your insurance will cover the procedure. For second trimester terminations, especially if there is a fetal anomaly, please contact our office and we will assist you in verifying eligibility. In Colorado, Medicaid will not pay for an elective abortion unless the mother's health is in danger. Self-PayIf you are uninsured, or your insurance will not cover an elective abortion, we accept the following forms of payment:
We do not accept personal checks and all payment must be received at the time of your appointment. For self-pay patients, we offer a discounted cash price for the following services:
Besides the abortion drugs/procedure, this fee includes ultrasound dating, pain medications, and contraception counseling. If your blood type is Rh negative, there is an additional $50 charge for a RhoGam injection for either type of abortion. There is an organization in Colorado that can help low-income women with the cost of an abortion. To contact the Freedom Fund, call (303)785-9928. Be prepared to leave a message with a phone number where you can be reached. We are unable to offer a discounted price for second-trimester abortions at this time, but we can offer referrals to doctors who do--please call our office. Please note that self-pay prices are subject to change--up-to-date pricing information will be provided when you schedule your appointment.
